Choosing the correct neck for your putter is an essential part of gaining consistency in your game. Every one of us has a style of play which differs from person to person, this is why you see so many alternatives when it comes to the neck design of putters. Here we'll try to help you choose the one which makes you perform your best on the green.

Before you consider which style of putter neck will suit you, it's important for you to understand which is your dominant eye. Knowing this will help you choose a putter which looks best for you, specifically when using the alignment aid on the top of our putters. You should also, focus on figuring out whether you have a gate stroke or a straight back straight through stroke.

Ultimately, this all comes down to trial and error, so if you don't know it may be worth consulting a professional who can help you make the best possible decision, whether buying a putter from us at Maddison Golf or anywhere else.

Plumber Neck - This is a medium offset putter with a 1/4 toe hang. We recommend this putter for those with a gated slope.

Flare Neck - This neck gives a little less offset than the Plumber Neck and works well for those of you who rotate your head open and then onto shut as you complete your stroke.

Long Plumber Neck - Very similar to the Plumber Neck, however, these generally makes the putter more face balanced.

Slant Neck - This looks like a plumber’s neck without the elbow. The bit of offset gives players a less obstructed view of the ball. This neck usually has a quarter toe hang and works well with a gated stroke.
